Ladle shroud is used to protect the steel from air contact.

 

Requirements

  • Prevention of Air Penetration
  • Resistance to Tundish Slag
  • Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance

Ladle shrouds are made in Alumina Carbon (Al 2O3-C) quality and they are Isostatically pressed.

  • Materials used allow 100% cold start operation
  • Lengths upto 1800mm
Options
  • Metal can reinforcement
  • Argon Gas Purging (porous insert or direct injection type)
  • Ceramic Fibre wrapping on outer diameter
  • Reinforcement in immersed part
